Not too sure if its a griffon or a dragon
but there are a lot of bits of monuments in the church .. well worth a trip as otley is a nice place in its own right

That appears to be a Griffon;feathered wings and beak.

The beast appears to be a wyvern as it has wings and only two legs, whilst a griffon has wings and four legs. The red wyvern was the crest of the Cliffords of Skipton Castle.

I was under the impression that Wyvern's bore leathery,bat like wings rather than those of the feathered variety?Generally wasn't a Wyvern more reptile in nature rather than "avian" and having feathers?
You may be correct though as bat like wings may be difficult to interpret in stone sculpture and this depiction appears to have a serpentine tail.
