Following discussion on Twitter, thought it'd be fun to compile a list of Stonehenge "Theories".

Idea of the thread is *not* to discuss the validity of the ideas (or anything else). It's just to briefly record what they are (or were) in each post and then where to find more about them. Would be great to get contributions!

(will add to this myself when a bit more time)

It'd be useful if the above format were followed: A number in sequence, the idea's title, the author and then a permanent link to where to find more (rather than describe the whole idea on a post)

#2: Stonehenge personifies the uterus, as well as other organs, namely: the entire female belly with the ovaries - reproductive glands.

Considering the reproductive-maternal function of the stone circle at Stonehenge, it will now be easier to understand the cause-and-effect "male" function of the elongated structure which is the Cursus. The visual illustrations of these elongated objects are indisputably associated with the male penis during copulation.

Looking at the site plan of the most characteristic objects located in the Salisbury Valley, it can be seen that Stonehenge and Cursus are complemented by a third object - Durrington Walls.

Durrington Walls, in the intentions of their creators, was of course to be a symbolic reservoir of male semen, which is the scrotum, in which the "seeds of procreation" were located.

Another object near Durrington Walls - that is Woodhenge, in this story was supposed to be information about such "most effective" - a single sperm.

Taking all the above into account, it can be assumed that in the Salisbury Valley in Neolithic times, identical annual ceremonies of rebirth of life on the scale of a single person, and even more, rebirth of life on the scale of the entire Universe took place - as exemplified by the ancient Egyptian Feast of Opet.

Stonehenge was built for a ball game called ‘bunxpt’. The ball was made of cowgut twine wound onto a stone core. The batter stands in the centre and 30 bowlers stand outside. A bowler throws a ball through a gap in the stones and the batter has to try to anticipate it and hit it out. The bowlers then have to anticipate which gap it will come out from. If it is caught, the catcher becomes the batter. If the batter hits a stone, he/she has to drink a beer, climb up and run round the top of the stones. If the batter hits the ball over the top of the stones, he/she has to drink a beer, climb up and run round the top of the stones 3 times, and make cups of tea for everyone.

Happy solstice tide

stonehenge imho was built as an accumulator of consciousness to locally then divert said consciousness along specific route/s to desired locations .
The materials utilised were carefully orientated to achieve this from around 360 degrees to focus the accumulations along the desired route/s.

The uprated flows were then utilised in the then considered knowledge of reincarnation, whether this is right or wrong is irrelevant, as if pertains to a knowledge of the time of construction.
Pick any of My seven thousand plus posts relative to this thinking.
Or as usual ignore it.

thanks cropredy, I will take that theory with me as it would be wonderful to have some hope that humans are capable of raising their consciousness. I will be meeting up with some great musicians so this is very possible. That reminds me of the acoustic theories for Stonehenge.

drolaf,

frequency is central, with perfect alignment to the frequencies about 360 degrees .

All in universe is aligned, and it is central to the dowser to be able to attune to the desired alignments and frequencies.

Then by carefully choosing and fitting very specific resonating materials , then the whole construction becomes at one with the variable constant changing inputs and outputs around 360 degrees and this can then be manipulated along very precise routes to other desired locations.

We are independent fields of consciousness that can be depleted and uprated, dementia describes a very depleted field of consciousness, along with multiple so called illnesses that are consequences of this depletion.

Young children describe the powerful field where growth and the ability to retain vast knowledge exists with good health.

It will be difficult for Myself to provide a single post upon here relative to stonehenge as everything I have been blathering along about is relative to that site and multiple other megalithic sites so brilliantly recorded and stored within the megalithic portal.

Stonehenge is a sort of pinnacle of this knowledge of how universe operates and can be locally manipulated for a variety of intentions and reasons, but the very basic nature is of consciousness manipulation as were the pyramids with absolute fitment to a matrix.

That matrix is based on nine parallel lines arranged in 3,6,9.

acoustic theories for Stonehenge

https://hub.salford.ac.uk/sirc-acoustics/architecture-and-building-acoustics/acoustics-of-stonehenge/

#6 One theory is that it is a stone version of a common timber type, that it was constructed with timber joinery methods, and there were many very similar timber sites, not just in British isles.

https://www.thevintagenews.com/2020/08/22/timber-stonehenge/?edg-c=1

#7 Any theory may need to encompass the extended chronology of the site, from 3000 BC henge to 2500 BC sarsen ring and horse-shoe, to later outer x y z rings. This ‘onion’ wrapping is seen at many sites. What a circle ‘was for’ may have changed many times over its development. See Colin Richards for more thoughts on this.

Hi Jon
My favourite is John Aubrey's idea ("no more than a probability" according to him) that Stonehenge was a "Temple of the Druids."
At first sight this seems totally ludicrous, but when you realise that in the 17th Century pre-Roman Britain was considered a land of total savages with no form of culture or civilisation, it becomes clear how radical Aubrey's idea was - possibly on a par with Darwin's theory almost 200yrs later.
Mind you, recent visits to my local pub have convinced me that:-
A) Culture and civilisation do not exist in this country, despite what the Romans are supposed to have done for us.
B) Evolution does not exist.

Note: this hypothesis may have been superseded by Tim's more recent calendar hypothesis.

#15: Stonehenge: built by Aliens.

Authors: Erich von Däniken
"The main thesis of Chariots of the Gods is that extraterrestrial beings influenced ancient technology. Von Däniken suggests that some ancient structures and artifacts appear to reflect more sophisticated technological knowledge than is known or presumed to have existed at the times they were manufactured.... Such artifacts include the Egyptian pyramids, Stonehenge, and the Moai of Easter Island. (wikipedia)
