Carbon dated to about 2500 BC this is a log boat from one huge piece of oak some 15.2 m in length. It is flat bottomed but has a rib down the centre inside to give extra strength, an advanced detail for a Bronze Age craft. It could be rowed or paddled by ten men and also take a one ton cargo.
