Description
The beaker from a kist found above the Nether Lochaber Hotel, Corran. The kist was excavated in February 1889 and when the beaker was removed it was instantly plunged into water as the excavator believed it would disintegrate when it came in contact with the air. Inevitably the beaker fell a part in the water and it had to be repaired with plaster of paris.
