Knock 1. below the Gavin Maxwell otter memorial.
A week or so before the autumn equinox shortly after sunrise a finger like shadow of the piece of rock on the outcrop passed right through the centre of the cup and ring mark. Because the light was low it was difficult to effectively photograph.
I waited until the sun was a little higher and brighter then I put my finger close to the lump on the rock that casts the shadow - to indicate the shadow across the circle. At one point the end of the shadow from the rock was exactly at the centre of the circle. so six days later the sun would rise a little to the south, maybe as the sun comes over the horizon it would cast the shadow straight to the centre of the circle. a possibility.
My main concern that the shadow may just be coincidental as the rock outcrop looks as though it has been quarried in the past.
