Landscape Gallery Is there anything lovelier than an English bluebell wood? Yet this picture of peace and tranquility is an illusion. Traffic roars by on a slip road to the fume sodden M11 which lies alongside and the ravenous, land hungry giant of Stansted Airport is on its doorstep. Petrol, diesel and aircraft exhausts gently and perpetually seep through the woods and an adjacent prairie farm sprays dreadful chemical cocktails which drift in on the breeze. Slowly the bluebells and wood anenomes recede. What are we doing to our world?

Living in this area there are many woods try some of the woods around Quendon and Saffron Walden these give you more of the same!! But again the rumble of the motorway can still be heard!!
