Dating from the 10th-11th century, Carew Cross is a 14 foot high wheel-headed cross. It is decorated with plaitwork patterns, scrolls and other intricate Celtic ornamentation. A Latin inscription on the cross recalls Maredudd (Margiteut) the king.
