Description
Went looking for this 15 months ago and failed to find it; today I did find it. Reflected on where it ought to be, and thought this large finger of green in a depression sticking into a field would be the place. I was right. Down through the oaks into the line of drainage afforded by the lie of the land.

There is more to see than what I saw, so an early spring visit would be good. The area just above the well is very boggy; nettles, buttercup and fireweed abound. A dislodged iron and zinc lid are next to a broken pipe. A far cry from the once famous Whistlebitch Well which brought people from across country four hundred years ago.
