Description
This flick in the hill is prominent with the stone, and the two line up nicely - but can't be appreciated by camera due to trees obscuring from the stone's contemporary line of sight. A winter visit should get a better view with the stone.
A fine standing stone in a meadow, with one side faced with quartz. Very prominent white flash from the western approach. Access by footpath through farmyard and farmland; footpath crosses drainage ditch with no bridge, and is followed by overgrown stile - possibly very hard to access after heavy rain. Care needed. A very peaceful spot; lots of field clearance in surrounding fields. Seems obvious as route marker from the west this stone - in a valley bottom, with one side visible from afar.
