"Not for the faint-hearted" indeed! I deliberately haven't cropped this photo in order to show the well-made barbed-wire fences which currently separate a stone circler from his/her fulfillment (Apr 2008). Good views , but for access, only ex Colditz escapees need apply.

My family was visiting in June of 2008 and we made it right up to the stone circle. If you get close enough to the fence, you'll see that there is a place you can get through. It wasn't incredibly easy, but it wasn't terrible either. I have read that since then, the farmer who owns the property has planted trees which will obscure the circle from the road, making an already difficult-to-spot site nearly impossible.

Visited with two friends in February 2013. Difficult to access but well worth it. Nearby is Drombohilly wedge tomb.

Visited Sept 2015. Difficult to get to, you have to cross barbed wire fences if you come the way we did. The plantation will eventually ruin the views of the landscape, but you can still see the mountains all around and Kenmare River. Thick grass and autumn (native) gorse has grown up all around but are possible to walk through. There is a fallen outlier (abt 3m long) about 50 meters E of circle.
