Great set of pics, thanks dave! I like the way the shape of the nearby cliff-top echoes the slight curve of the capstone here. You were lucky with the clear weather.

Good Point I also noticed that on a number of Burial Chambers particularly in ther open areas they seem to point to the highest peaks in the surrounding landscape. I wonder, is this a common theme picked up? (Neolithic not being my forte)

Pics were taken last weekend, came down on the Friday Weather wasnt so good but Saturday and Sunday the weather held out pretty much throughout the Day. So yep got very lucky with the site seing (will post a few more of others soon) Thanks.
Dave

Reading your comment Dave, I thought of Bachwen, where I was lucky enough to get some good shots of that dolmen [or cromlech] and its capstone's alignments to the nearby mountains (see site page). Haven't really thought of any others that do this yet .... though, what's that little one in Newport that might point to Pentre Ifan???

Darn.... I meant 'Carn Ingli', not 'Pentre Ifan'!!
