Celtic links: Thorgrim commented that St Non was perhaps the mother of St David, which is certainly the case. The connection with Britanny was a surprise to me though when I learned of it from this detail in the window of the 'new' chapel at St Non's Retreat Centre.

Isn't this beautiful? I really love stained glass windows and, though quite modern, this is a particularly nice one. I've been to the little chapel in front of the retreat, but memory is going! Was this there, or inside the retreat? Must dig out my film!

This is in the little chapel on the lawn next to the retreat - this picture was taken very early one morning to catch the sun shining through the window! It helps to be living less than an hour drive away...
I was intrigued to see the 'signature' William Morris in the bottom righthand corner...perhaps a credit for the pattern around the border?
