Description
Sheep posing for a photo on the western side of the barrow at grid reference SY62358717. In the distance is the eastern side of the Blackdown plantation.

This reminds me of New Years Eve in 2004, when, as a new member, you posted the Grey Mare and her Colts sheep pic! (Andy was worried that I'd scared you away with my zany comments!) Thanks for 2 years of great photography, Jim.

That was in the back of my mind as well when I took the photo - and its not far from the Grey Mare longbarrow. Having submitted the photos I see that Tim (shropshire traveller) had taken many of the same views, but he was a lot less lucky with the weather. This ridge is very rich in barrows, it was good to be able to see great and small due to the side-lighting.
