Description
An impromptu visit to the nine maidens stone row, once thought, before further evidence provided otherwise, to be the only stone row in Cornwall.

After we diced with death walking along the A39 we reached a wooden stile secreted in the corner on which to climb to gain access to the field in which the stone row is situated.

As we walked along the track a group of sheep were sheltering from the sun under the boughs of a sacred Hawthorn, somewhat startled by our tresspass each arose and wandered off into the safety of open space.

Upon reaching the first erect stone I rested my hands upon it. The quartz shimmered in the sunlight and the emission of heat was intense.

As I walked to each stone in turn a word 'starlight' crept into my head. Upon researching the row post-visit it seems that many have thought the row to be in celestial alignment, so hardly surprising, yet quite startling for me, that 'starlight' should spoken.

I lay down on a horizontal stone and absorbed it's energies and to my astonishment when reaching the car realised that the neck stiffness I had less than an hour before had totally vanished. Stranger still was the development of a rash on my inner forearms.

The stone row can be found near St Columb.
