Description
St Ninian's Isle Chapel & Settlement site. As noted on the wonderfully descriptive Interpretation Board at the site, the site was excavated between 1955 and 1959 ‘in order to find the medieval church depicted on maps in 1608 and 1654.’ The very information Interpretation Board at the site is worth reproducing directly, ("as an example to others"!), as it is so succinct!
