The well has been described as “a natural spring collecting in a rectangular basin protected on 3 sides by a wall but open to the south”.  It sits in a field near the B8062 and was until recently used as a farm water supply.  The wall seems to have been destroyed and now lies on top of the spring which is still running among the rubble, discarded pipes and weeds.
