This is the location of an Iron Age hilfort near Cardiff.

Research has it that the small enclosure (in the photos) is of medieval origin, the rest is of iron Age origin, and that the present day village of Caerau is made slap bang on the remains of a Roman village and fort by the same name. a perfect example of a few thousand years of continual human presence.
