Quartz Standing Stone shadow SH2: the Spring sunrise highlighted the QSS shadow length and shape, but what about its direction? My calculations suggest; in the week after the winter solstice 22-28 December 2022, a sunrise with a sun angle 4° would align with the QSS azimuth 147° at 09:45 +/-20 minutes. The QSS shadow would point and mark the centre of the RSC. The quartz would symbolise the event by capturing the sun’s rays.
