Spring sunrise shadows SH1: 19/03/2018 at 07.00 sun’s angle 5°,azimuth 99°. The photo of the shadow along the recumbent and west flanker verified the recumbent’s azimuth 189° (Ruggles 1984). However, in 2022 I found the shadow of the Quartz Standing Stone interesting, its length and shape reminded me of a pointer on a dial. The QSS was specifically sited outside the circle, its azimuth 147Â

Spring sunrise shadows SH1: 19/03/2018 at 07.00 sun’s angle 5°,azimuth 99°. The photo of the shadow along the recumbent and west flanker verified the recumbent’s azimuth 189° (Ruggles 1984). However, in 2022 I found the shadow of the Quartz Standing Stone interesting, its length and shape reminded me of a pointer on a dial. The QSS was specifically sited outside the circle, its azimuth 147° relative to the centre of the circle (from Canmore plan)…. Continued Photo SH2.
