The huge menhir has an even more huge Oak Tree as its immediate neighbour, and it's a marvel to reflect that the tree is still very much the junior of the pair, and hopefully the menhir will long 'outlive' the tree, too.The strong silhouettes at the end of the day were magical; I am very bored of colour photographs at the moment (don't know why!), so had to play with the black and white setting in

The huge menhir has an even more huge Oak Tree as its immediate neighbour, and it's a marvel to reflect that the tree is still very much the junior of the pair, and hopefully the menhir will long 'outlive' the tree, too.

The strong silhouettes at the end of the day were magical; I am very bored of colour photographs at the moment (don't know why!), so had to play with the black and white setting in this light, and was satisfied with some of the results. Looking NE.

This site popped up via the Random Images - thanks for the picture and reflection in the description ST - how great to ponder on all the menhir has been a silent witness to, and how many saplings have come and gone near it!
