Description
Cors Y Gedol - one of my favourite sites - on the hill above Dyffryn Ardudwy, dowsed in 2003. On my first visit, I remember asking in the little shop how to find the Dyffryn Ardudwy site and following the lady's instructions, only to find myself up here (I'd driven up the lane to a car park at the end, not far from here.) Again, I asked the rods to show me the processional route enacted at the time of the earliest important rituals, and this is what I recorded. The straighter line of movement at 4 seemed to be influenced by the present road (at bottom here), instead of curving in the usual 'arc' around the forecourt, and I had never found two separate rod-opening movements, such as those at 3 and 6 before. The final approach to the tomb's entrance had the usual rod-openings though. At top left is the outline of the original chamber as dowsed from the rear of the monument. I can't prove any of this but offer it for comparison with the others and maybe it will be useful in the future. I had noted the tomb entrance faces approx 60 degs, and that a stone on the hill aligns with it.

This is fantastic Angie! I must have missed it last year with so much appearing on the Portal now - I’m trying to collect as much information about the area as I can, on foot and via the internet.
There is definitely something special about this landscape on a “deeper” level. Sometimes I study, most times I just bask in it 🥰

Thank you for the kind comment Marion. I didn't mean to advertise the dowsing for once (!), but remembered having described how I got here by accident, and used it for quickness. :-)

It’s lovely to see the work of someone else who loves this place! 😀
