Shrine of St Candida (formerly known as St Wite). This was once a very important pilgrimage site, particularly for people seeking some sort of physical healing. The church is usually open between 10am and 4pm most days. Also visit St Wite's well, to the south of the A35, which is said to be good for curing eye complaints.
