Description
View of the southern side of Ughtasar in Armenia.
This whole area is awash with archaeological remains, from prehistoric rock art, enclosures through to much later periods. The dark brown patches you can see here are boulder streams where the vast majority of rock art panels occur. To the extreme left in picture, you can just about make out a small enclosure.
This picture was captured in August 2010, whilst recording with the Ughtasar Rock Art Project. I was lucky enough to be brought on board as a photogrammetry specialist and spent 2 seasons recording. To the right is the projects 2010 camp, I think the red tent was my home for 10 days
