At first sight, it's easy to miss the stump of this old village cross, as the area in which it sits is busy with benches, bollards (at the entrance to the small park behind) and telegraph poles, etc. The remains of the cross shaft sit in the middle of a circular paved area, with the stump secured in place with concrete and lead flashing.
