Broughton Mains -1, Wigtownshire, Dumfries and Galloway Grid Ref: NX 4581 4565 Located on a small road between the B7004 and A746, W. of Garlieston, 850m NE of the farm on private land. Ask permission from the farmer. The West panel of a greywacke outcrop . The site was first reported by L. M. Mann in 1915. On site 2 (NX452453) are some of Galloway's best-preserved cup-and-ring motifs and a rare 'ladder'-motif. This site was covered-over in 1990.
