A self portrait, for scale, with this enormous menhir with some of the open valley behind. One of my favourite standing stones. Folklore records it was draped in a studded red cloth, and was used to kill a serpent which had been terrorising the area (allegedly!). This explains some of its names - Post Coch (red post), Post y Wiber (Post of the Wyber (or Wyvern / Winged Serpent)).
