St Mungo's Well (Bromfield)

The well chamber was dry at the time of our visit (there had been no rain for several weeks). Strangely there was no sign of a pipe, so the water must rise up straight from the ground into the chamber. The ground around the well was still damp in places and had been heavily churned by the large cattle in the field.
