Description
Solin Porta Caesarea, North of Split, Croatia. Funded by Augustus, as town supported Caesar not Pompeus Maximus during the civil war. This connected the newer part of town with the older part along the iron age walls. The town was abandoned during the middle ages when the people moved into Diocletian's palace when the Slavs invaded.
