The Catstones Ring nr Harden, West Yorks – SE0681638112 I must admit, I wasn’t expecting much from this site, but was pleasantly surprised. It’s not much of a ring, as the name suggests, but more rectangular in shape if anything. It measures 300meters x 225meters and has a bank & outer ditch in varying states of preservation.. An excavation in 1962 revealed little detail about its origins & therefore just has the tag of being ‘late prehistoric’. This is a view of the bank & ditch at the northern end.
