The person provides a sense of scale and the outlook from the dolmen. The fir forests were planted over the past several decades. Prior to that, the hillsides were mostly barren moorland (heather and gorse), with scattered beech-chestnut-oak copses.
Note also the varying orientation (horizontal and vertical) of the fracture lines in the rocks - indicating that they were placed into position, rather than naturally eroding.
Entry into the sepulture is visible at the bottom left. The chamber is big enough for two or three people to enter, if kneeling or bent at the waist.
