Description
This is Elva Plain Stone Circle from the field just south of the Elva Hill quarry. These field gates had been wired shut - a clear sign to keep out. The location is stunning. It would have been lovely to sit on the grass in the sunshine admiring the view over Bassenthwaite Lake (in the valley out of sight in this photo) to the fells beyond.
