Description
The high, abrupt tail of the north sidewall is markedly similar to the corresponding wall at the Five Wells tomb in Derbyshire. Notice the central 'spine' running from top to bottom is common to both tombs. This might be the tail between two hind legs.
If you are familiar with, or can find, William Blake's watercolour of Leviathan and Behemoth, two primordial monsters mentioned in the Old Testament, you will see two creatures not very different to those depicted at the Bridestones. Interestingly, both are described as dragons.
