Description
Uvala Maric Zigurat
4 Tiered Zigurat with steps on East side. The 8 Barbarija tumuli, as well as the 3 Uvala Maric Zigurats were on the estate of the Dragonera Roman Villa, close to the Adriatic Sea.
This site was recently excavated by Pula Museum Archeologists. It continues to puzzle them as the stone monument is of an archaic type, yet has some Roman potery shards, as well as pre-roman shards in it. Romans are not known to have built such structures and it is too complex for simple field clearance of stones. Did ancient practices continue after occupation?
The Pula Museum would appreciate well founded suggestions.

i think it should be compared to the stone pyramid in austria in the waldviertel. I will post a link to this structure:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyramide_im_Waldviertel

look at the pics to the right. one side is of the pyramid is broken. it has once been repaired, but it broke down again.
as the pyramid was researched by archeologists the one side was already broken down so it might have been a stairway to the top! compare the similarities and as soon as possible i will post my own pictures of the pyramid at the e-gallery for austria (well i could do it right now)
does anyone know anything about geomantic lines at this zigurat or water lines? I don't really know a lot about that stuff but it would be interesting if these lines mathced the layout of the pyramid in lower austria....

maybe we can find out some interesting relations ;)

greets
Klaus from Vienna
