Description
The Residential Building covers the excavation of a residential mound at Wickliffe Mounds. Several layers of habitation are revealed in this cut-away mound. The mound was built up over 200 years of habitation. The layers of the mound show the evidence that was used to identify this as a residential area. Charred materials from cooking fires and the postholes for the poles that held the wattle and daub siding are also visible.
