Petroglyph in Sakatschi Aljan (also called Sikachi-Alyan) in Siberia, Russia.

This photo was taken of a basalt stone replica shown in the  Museum of Natural History Nürnberg (Bavaria, Germany). 

The petroglyph is thought to show a mask of a shaman. The original is supposed to have been created in the Neolithic about 5000 - 6000 years ago.

The copy was made from the original stone by Mr B

Petroglyph in Sakatschi Aljan (also called Sikachi-Alyan) in Siberia, Russia.

This photo was taken of a basalt stone replica shown in the Museum of Natural History Nürnberg (Bavaria, Germany).

The petroglyph is thought to show a mask of a shaman. The original is supposed to have been created in the Neolithic about 5000 - 6000 years ago.

The copy was made from the original stone by Mr Babaev and then brought to Germany in 2002.

This one is so striking because of the combination of 'traditional' rock art spirals / concentric circles and a human face of course - superb
