This is the stone nearest to St Non's Well, which the cattle were using as a scratching post.  The water channel from the well can be seen running from right to left.

Hi, AngieLake, These bullocks were very placid and obviously used to people going into the field. It also helped that my husband was brought up on a farm, otherwise I wouldn't have ventured anywhere near. I can't get over the 'breathing' from the well, which was one of these boys drinking from the end of the short pipe that took the water from the well into the field, which then echoed back into the basin of the well.
