This 10th Century wheel-headed cross, in the bluebells on 14th May, had much more atmosphere than the Annicu Stone, which we saw inside the church when it was opened later that day for bell-ringers' practice.
[Bell-ringing also at St Kew that evening; Wednesday seems to be the best day for finding some churches open.]
