Description
Libenice rune stone [ed.: modern statue commemorating the prehistoric site. See comments to the site page for details.]
Dorothy writes: We visited my ancestral village of Libenice last year and here is our picture of the stone in the town square where my grandfather Jaroslav Drahovzal was born and lived til he emigrated to USA in 1890.
If anyone has more information about the stories of these stones and their history I would be very interested to hear them.

Fascinating! What a great picture, thank you! Is the bottom half whitewashed or something? The town square is so green!

My grandmother always said, "When you are shown a picture of a lady, it is not polite to comment on the bottom half".
