So... Getting to this site is a welcome voyage, arriving at the gate (higher than a normal one) I read a friendly sign- warning me of a bull... So the landowner obviously doesn't want people visiting this site. Climbing over the gate I am affronted with another welcoming feature- electric fence. Slipping under the offending wire, and edging around the field keeping an eye out for the bull of terror, I approach the mound if earth and stones. When I reach it, I am presented with another electric fence, boarding the fogou, surprisingly less substantial fence (they couldn't possibly want the bull to damage the fogou could they?!?) I approach the entrance, as seen in the photo.

I tried to visit a couple of years back but the beware of the bull sign (obviously a permanent feature) and the electric fence put me off. Such a shame as it looks a real gem.

There were cows in the field when I visited but no bull, It's a great site and we just can't let these inconsiderate "landowners" [for now] stop/put us off visiting these great places, It's all our land and all our rights to visit these places, However much they try stopping us with their [electric] fences, bulls, keep out signs and blocking/getting rid of footpaths, It'll make me smile when I see your photo's of the place [Always great] :o)
