I am reminded of the image of Cerunnos on the Gundestrup Cauldron here - though I know that there is considerable time and cultural difference between these two.

Just thought I'd make a correction - this should be filed under 'Winterbourne Monkton' not 'Winterton.....' Visited today - fascinating - and apparently the 'whatever it is' that is emerging from between 'her' legs still has traces of the original red paint on it.
