I like to capture the landscape and not just the stones, tombs etc. For me it's part of the jigsaw of trying to understand and appreciate what the site's all about.

I agree with that. You ask yourself 'why' did the ancestors choose that particular place, and it helps to put you in their shoes (or bare feet!) Of course, that is easier when the landscape has not changed too much, and sites still have that rural beauty.
