I believe that unless the road is routed much further away than the proposed routes then the deep bored tunnel is the only acceptable solution & the longer the tunnel, the better. All other options will impact on the World Heritage Site to some degree and should be opposed. These proposals have the hallmark of an insurance salesman trying to get a foot in the door, don't let him in! If the political will is not there at present for a more radical solution, then the best option is to do nothing until it is. All damage from an unsatisfactory project will permanently scar the site for future generations.
