This is one of the most important hill fort sites in Somerset and for many people the site has largely been hidden from view. The acquisition and management of this site will help to make the site much more visible and accessible to residents and visitors.
and I appreciated this improved access, and a flock of long-tailed tits appreciated the more nature-friendly management as they foraged among the standing seed-heads either side of the informal path. As noted below, trees and vegetation block the ditch and rampart. They are old trees and presumably will be retained , they also block most of a nearby power line from view which is no bad thing.
