I have just spent the weekend in a cottage by a cave not too far from Giggleswick. The cottage is at Kingsdale Farm, near Ingleton, and the cave is called Yordas Cave. The main cavern is probably too wet for human habitation, but the area at the cave entrance would probably have been fine. There is lots of mud at the entrance, and I wondered if any evidence of human occupation is buried under it all. The mud must be 15 feet deep. So now I'm wondering if the same peoples lived in this cave too! I was maybe walking on canibalised bones.......... ;-)
