Llangammarch church is listed as medieval though rebuilt in 1915-16 which would probably explain why no Dark Age archaeology has been discovered.
It is unfortunately the case that carved inscriptions cannot be dated. The archaeological context is the only guide to dating but, as the Clwyd-Powys Archaeological Trust points out, the original location of the inscribed stone is unknown.
