These mounds and those on the grounds of the Wright Brothers Memorial are thought to have been placed in relation to one another.

“We are always looking for means to preserve them,” he [Erwin Roemer, Air Force Civil Engineer Center archeologist assisting the base] said. “We appreciate the importance of the early Native Americans and the heritage they represent.”
