I love the book and it came out at exactly the right time. I visit areas with megalithic sites with a friend every year and this was our first visit to the UK. It is always beneficial to have some sort of guide book and this is the best I ever had.
I really like the introductions giving a nice overview on the prehistory and the relevant types of megalithic sites in Britain/Ireland. This sets all the sites we have seen in a much better context. The collection of sites in the book is great and it helped us to use the limited time well. We used to read the texts in the car before going to see the site and the content was always very interesting and to the point.
We used the coordinates a lot. On one hand it would be convenient to have directions in the book as well, but I see that it would not be possible to keep these up to date and it would add to the volume. The book already is pretty heavy for a field guide, but I would not want it to be smaller, as it is so thrilling to just file through and think about which region would be fascinating to visit next.
Thank you and all that contributed to the book for this great piece of work! I am sure many people interested in prehistory will love it.
