Re: Brisworthy Stone Circle - bank showing up on LIDAR by Bladup on Friday, 20 October 2017

How wonderful to see it like that! Thanks. It's an embanked Stone Circle in the tradition of Nine Ladies and other peak district sites, The Druid's Circle of North Wales, The Druid's Circle of Ulverston. Even Castlerigg, Swinside and Long Meg are embanked, The Twelve Apostles of Holywood and The Twelve Apostles on Ilkley Moor, The Largest circle at Stanton Drew, A real nationwide prehistoric tradition (probably keeping the henge tradition alive). The Bank (At Brisworthy) is fairly clear to see on site and from the LIDAR image seems to have a little gap just to the North of North East where the Moon rises at it's Maximum. The Bank is seen (and Spoken of below) in TheCaptain's Photo here like Andy Said - http://www.megalithic.co.uk/modules.php?op=modload&name=a312&file=index&do=showpic&pid=166658

Something is not right. This message is just to keep things from messing up down the road
