Back in 2009 on one of my visits to lanhill long barrow I had a strange shamanic experience when I went into a dream like state where I found it difficult to move & felt pinned to the ground by some energy force from the earth, I could hear voices nearby but there was no one there. The sky seemed to go darker even though it was bright sunny day, it became a pleasant feeling after feeling strange. It was as if time had stood still for a short time even though it seemed longer.
I reached for a drink as I felt dehydrated & slowly the sensation faded away & I was back, although I hadn''t moved from the same spot I had travelled spiritually in this timeless ancient site of our ancestors.
