Pastscape:
The N.W. barrow has a central mound 48 ft. in diameter and
4 ft. high on a platform 72 ft. in diameter, surrounded by a
ditch 11 ft. wide and 1 1/2 ft, deep with an outer bank 13 ft.
wide and 1 1/2 ft high. The ditch and bank are interrupted by the outer bank of the
other barrow.
Other Mound 46ft diameter, 3 1/2 ft. high, on a platform 90 ft. in
diameter. This is surrounded by a ditch 11ft. wide and 2 ft.
deep with an outer bank 12 ft. wide and 1 1/2 ft. high. The
ditch and bank overlap that of 'A'
Both barrows are partly heather covered.
